July 30 th 2021 in Events Tahiti
This year, from July 1 to 10, 2021, the famous Heiva i Tahiti event takes the form of a festival called Festival Tahiti Ti’a Mai.
On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of this popular event, there is no contest, but a festival, a celebration, a meeting under the sign of impatience and intensity, of union. Tahiti ti’a mai, literally means “Tahiti rise up”. This name carries a message of hope: we must continue to move forward, to live our culture and to keep our traditions alive despite the hazards of the moment.
In response to this special edition of the famous annual festival, the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa offers this year the “Mini Festival Tahiti Ti’a Mai”, with traditional Tahitian dance performances by the greatest troupes in Fenua, and always sumptuous festive buffet.
